Our Counsellors who deliver the services

Ian has a Post Graduate Diploma; Certified to work with Couples, Families, CYP and Individuals, he also delivers the Relate work in Wakefield, details which can be found at Relate. He is also a Registered Member MBACP approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. He has a Cert Ed and is fully qualified to teach post 16 learners.

He has over 9,000 hours of face to face work and 18 years of experience, he uses an integrative approach which brings in aspects of attachment, systemic, solution focussed, CBT and Brief therapy into his Client work.


Su has a M.A. Relationship Therapy (Distinction) University of Hull; University Advanced Diploma in Couple Counselling, University of Hull; Certificate in Person Centred and Psychodynamic Counselling (Leeds); Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy and a Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Quest Institute. She has practised therapeutically since 2001 and has over 13 years experience in couples therapy and can help Clients with relational and cognitive problems to clear confusion and bring clarity to your life and world. Her personal approach is Integrative and relational, systemic and narrative approaches blended with psychodynamic and attachment theory approaches and she has an interest in neuroscience. Her integrative approach includes elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Existential/Spiritual Approaches.
She sees Couples, Individuals and family members. Su is a member of BACP.


Angie has a post graduate Diploma in counselling and psychotherapy. She has practised for over 9 years. She has experience of counselling in challenging environments and has previously worked in an organisation specialisation in rape and abuse. She offers an integrated approach which allows her to tailor to each individual, whilst providing a therapeutic space of warmth and non-judgement.
Her ethos is that she facilitates a process where people can find their own path and solutions when given the space to explore. She has vast experience working with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, survivors of abuse and challenging life’s challenges. She currently provides short term therapy to University students reflecting her ability to work with a wide range of issues effectively.

Mary has a M.A. Relationship Therapy, BSc, PNLP She has practised as a Counsellor for over 14 years. Her areas of Specialism are:

Relationships: Couples, families, and individuals. Stress. Emotional difficulties. Anxiety. Worrying. Depression/low mood. Bereavement/loss. Lesbian/Gay issues.
